About Doctor Rey

I was born in Honduras and emigrated to the United States with my family at age four. I grew up in the Los Angeles area.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from UCLA, I worked in the building materials trade before deciding that I wanted to do something more. I went back to school to study Chiropractic. I graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1992. I interned in Glendale, California with a Gonsted practitioner and then in Ventura in an activator clinic. I opened West Coast Chiropractic in 1993, and have been practicing here ever since.

As a Chiropractor, I found myself correcting the same subluxations three times a week on many patients. Regardless of which technique I used, the relief they experienced was always temporary. Chiropractic is not just about back or neck pains, but rather, overall health. I wanted to understand why my patients were only experiencing temporary relief instead of permanent relief. This curiosity brought me to the works of the founding fathers of clinical nutrition, geniuses of the 20th Century Dr. Royal Lee, Dr. Weston Price, and Dr. Francis Pottenger and their discoveries concerning the relationship of nutritional deficiencies to overall health.
